About Saranathan College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli
Saranathan College of Engineering or SCE was started in the year 1998 and is a well-known engineering college in Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu. This affiliated colleges is located in a 40 acres land and certified by NAAC and AICTE approvals. SCE provides 15 different types of courses at 3 degrees levels for the total of 2,518 students. The college has almost equal ration of male and female students with 62% male students and 38% female students in undergraduate programmes and 62% female students in postgraduate courses. SCE has an excellent faculty of 145 professors to cater to the student need in the ratio of 15:01 making certain that SCE delivers quality education in Engineering Domain.
Saranathan College of Engineering offers the college different amenities for the benefit of the students. The college provides the separate facilities for boys and girls hostels in addition to facilities like Wi-Fi, computer centres and recreation halls in them. The library occupies the space of 802 sq. mtrs and contains over 52296 volumes of books and materials and has the membership of over 300 national and int’l journals and magazines. For the sport enthusiasts, SCE has variety of amenities including basketball and tennis courts, football field, cricket ground with turf wicket etc. This has made college’s IT infrastructure strong, full-duplex gigabit ethernet backbone and an aggregate bandwidth of 10 Gbps for across the college.
The courses offered in Saranathan College of Engineering include 15 courses in undergraduate and postgraduate level. Full-time engineering is the college’s main area of admission, with the total approved intake of 2,328 across all courses. This is further affirmed by a vast number of courses provided by the institution ranging from engineering as a core foundation to B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science among other relevant courses offered. Courses include BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science and Engineering, and so on.

College Infrastructure
SCE has most of the required infra and transportation facilities. It is located just opposite to the New Trichy bus stand. It has well equipped labortories and library. I personally don't like the hostel.
I felt tough at the beginning and now I started liking it.

Yes we do have all the facility like labs , in various domains with good facility. We also good environment in the class rooms and also in laboratory .We have a lan connecting various labs inside our campus.

See if you want to go for a colleges which can offer you more opportunities then I would recommend you to go for VIT.The two university you have mentioned, surely VIT is more preferable. VIT have a very well organized curriculum such that the curriculum provides adequate skills to work in industry as well as to pursue academia. Also the faculties are very well experienced and are active in research. VIT offers a very good rate of placement about 91%. VIT have very good infrastructure which is really good fact for science students.
** I would highly recommend you to conduct a research by yourself. If you find my facts relevant then only go for it , else take the decision which will be the best for you.
As per the latest placement statistics, VIT BHOPAL has a very good package with median salary to be Rs. 6.5LPA to Rs. 44LPA.
