Sarankul College, Sarankul: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Sarankul College, which was established in 1978, is an affiliated college situated in Sarankul,Nayagarh district of Odisha. Built across half of the 15 acres piece of land, this institution has offered its educational services in the region for more than forty years. The college provides 10 programmes in 2 degrees, those are Arts and Humanities mostly. Sarankul College has 368 students attending college, and it has 28 teachers teaching in the institution. It has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council which means the college upholds to offering quality education.

Some of the features at Sarankul College include various facilities. An anchored library in the middle of the campus comes equipped with books and publications that amounts to more than seven thousand eight hundred and fifty, of which five thousand two hundred and twelve are reference books and two thousand six hundred and thirty eight are text books. At the same time, the library has access to 508 journals and several newspapers for learners to get the required knowledge. However, for practical sessions, the college offers departmental laboratories. The IT facilities are 21 internet enabled computers to support the students in this information age. Health enhancement is promoted through a gym and sport related amenities. In addition, the campus has hygienically set canteen, and a car park space and medicare which is an in-house clinic.

There are 10 courses which ae all full time and all are offered by Sarankul College. The college offers only the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees with specialisations in a number of courses. These include BA Psychology, BA Political Science, BA Philosophy, BA Odia, BA Economics, BA Education, BA History, BA Sanskrit, BA ODiya etc. In the total sense the total student intake for all the courses is 368 but in a single course there are 8-24 seats available. 

The mode of admission of students to various classes at Sarankul College depends on the government policy on the admission of students to schools therefore no bias is found in the admission of students to the schools.  Alumni relation at Sarankul College are up to dated in such a way that the college keeps connecting with new and graduate students.
