Sardar Vallabhbai Polytechnic College, is well known technical institution situated at Shyamla Hills, Bhopal, The institution was established in the year 1953 at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This affiliated college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has extensive degree and diploma programmes extending from engineering disciplines. The college is located in 18.78 acres of land having 67 well experienced and dedicated teaching faculties. Established in 1946, the Sardar Vallabhbai Polytechnic College has delivered the technical education with 14 programmes under the single degree programme over seven decades’ journey.

University also strives to equip the students with knowledge in accordance with the college’s facilities to enable them gain adequate knowledge. Fully equipped laboratories for all departments are available in the campus making way for rigorous, practical training of students. Sardar Vallabhbai Polytechnic College library serves as an information resource Centre where students use more than 69600 books, e-Books, Magazines and journals. It also provides multimedia PC for using multimedia facilities for accessing information from electronic sources and uses Delnet software in library. Female students are also assured of accommodation since the college offers a girls’ hostel for any student who intends to live in the college. It also has and pays much attention to athletics with a large compound to play various games besides having a spacious playground and a good standard gym for the students and staff.

Svpc has total fourteen diploma courses in its inventory and all theses courses are full time currently. These courses fall in the different Engineering disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The college also conducts programmes like Diploma in Film Technology & TV Production Cinematography, Architectural Assistantship, Modern Office Management etc. The number of students approved to intake under these courses differ; the largest one being able to take up to 126 students as a confirmation of the college’s ability to train a legion of technical personnel.
