Sarojini Naidu Government Girls Post Graduate Autonomous College, Bhopal, which was established in 1970 is the first woman’s college located in the heart of Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal. This self-financed college covering 6.68 acres of land has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college has a total population of 6500 students and 90 members of the faculty; programatically, it offers 105 course s in 15 degree majors. 

The institute offers a wide ambit of specialization in arts commerce and science for female only students. Thus, the student body density is 75 % under graduate students and 25% post graduate students, out of which 100% are under graduate and 99% post graduate students belong to state.

As a result the college offers different facilities in order to help the students in acquiring more knowledge in their area of study. Conducted and computerized with SOUL 2.0 software, the library provides bar coded membership cards and OPAC search facility to find books. Practical laboratory requirements are addressed by departmental laboratories while an auditorium is used to address a variety of events and seminars. 

The campus also has a canteen, good network connectivity, a gym and sports facilities. Girls hostel is also available of out station students. Student health is accorded due attention with the college’s health center having a first-aid facility. Moreover, there is the construction of parking lots for the staff, for faculty members and the student populace.

It runs courses in a number of areas and disciplines, the details of which are shown in appendix three: they include a total of 105 programmes. These include full time undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the cognitive, creative and practical fields, including a total student head count of 5629. In the most recent academic year the college graduated a total of 3,785 students. This approach is as a result of the various programs that are offered in order to meet different needs and plans of the individuals.

The admission policy at SNGGPG Autism College without compromising on the quality of the students is that the college admits students from back grounds but has the right to select the children based on merit. Possible other entrance examinations are not listed, however the college may use the performance of a candidate in the previous qualifying examinations in offering admissions. The institute provides various grants, and 2,968 undergraduate, and 817 postgraduate students were reimbursed in the 2022 session.
