Sasmira's Business School, Mumbai Admission Process

Sasmira's Business School,  institute offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). SBS follows a comprehensive admission process designed to select talented and deserving candidates from across the country.

The admission process at Sasmira's Business School is, in general, on the basis of the performance of the candidates in various national-level entrance tests. The institute accepts scores from various exams conducted, such as CAT (Common Admission Test), MAH MBA CET (Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test), XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test), CMAT (Common Management Admission Test), ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions), and MAT (Management Aptitude Test).

Candidates that passed the Common Entrance Test organized by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra, for PGDM are eligible. All seats are filled through 15% All India Quota using scores of CMAT, MAT, and ATMA exams.

The minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at SBS is a bachelor's degree from any recognized university. However, the percentages are not mentioned, but still, the applicants are expected to have a decent academic record.

Application Process

The application process of Sasmira's Business School PGDM entails the following process:

1. Appear for Entrance Exams: Candidates have to appear for any one or a combination of entrance exams accepted. It is wise to appear in more than one exam for improving the prospects of getting into college.

2. Application Form: After the entrance exam results are declared, eligible candidates must submit the SBS application form. This form is probably available on the official website of Sasmira's Business School (http://sbs.sasmira.org/).

3. Document Submission: In addition to the application form, candidates must submit a set of documents, which may include:

  •  Entrance exam score card
  •  Degree certificates and mark sheets (10th, 12th, and Bachelor's)
  • Experience certificate if the applicant has worked
  • Passport size photographs
  • Other certificates, as demanded by the institute

4. Application Fee: Sometimes the institute charges a small application fee, and it must be clarified by contacting the admission office or on the institute's website.

5. Selection Procedure: On entrance examination and merit score, some applicants would be selected further for Group Discussion (GD), among other selection processes

  • Personal Interview (PI)
  • Written Ability Test (WAT).

6. Merit List: Based on performance in entrance examinations and subsequent rounds, the final merit list is prepared

7. Confirmation of Admission: Admission is confirmed upon the fee deposit and submitting all original documents from the admitted candidate within a prescribed period of time.

8. Orientation: Orientation normally precedes an academic year where students undergo some sort of an orientation session for their intake in any college/university.

Degree-wise Admission Process

PGDM: The flagship management program that is offered at Sasmira's Business School is the Post Graduate Diploma in Management. The process of admission for PGDM includes the following process:

  1. Candidates are eligible to appear for any of the entrance tests accepted, which are as follows: CAT, MAH MBA CET, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, and MAT.
  2. In respect of 85% seats, the seat shall be given to students who have already appeared for the DTE, Maharashtra conducted MAH-MBA/MMS-CET.
  3. Balance 15% of seats or All India Quota shall be filled based on the scores in CMAT, MAT, or ATMA.
  4. Once the short list is prepared then further rounds may be conducted at the level of group discussions, and personal interview with the chosen candidates.

As approved intake size for SBS PGDM is 120 students, there is good competition for one who wants to take up the opportunity of becoming management professionals.
