Sasurie Academy of Engineering, Coimbatore: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Sasurie academy of engineering was started in 2007 and it is affiliated college situated in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. Located at 12.56 acres of a campus, the institute provides various programs for the students who want to be engineers. The total number of students intake is 513 and the total number of faculty members are 111 and hence the Sasurie Academy of Engineering renders ambient environment for learning. At the undergraduate level, the institute has five BE programs which are full time in nature to provide the students a wide range of specializations in engineering.

The institute has developed various functional structures to foster the academic activities. The hostel accommodations include separate facilities for boys and girls complete with comfortable furniture and study environment. Medical and heath care professionals guarantee the health of students and staff as enhanced with a well equipped health center. For those who have rather athletic inclination, the college offers the opportunity to visit gyms equipped with the latest athletic paraphernalia. 

The central library is 800 m sq including with more than 22562 books and 100 periodicals for knowledge resource. Some of the features available to sports lovers are Football ground, cricket ground as well as a basketball court. There is also well equipped IT department to support the computer science programs offered at the college.

Till date, Sasurie Academy of Engineering provides only five totally of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programs out of which all those courses in the college are full time. It is also offering the following BE Programs: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering. 

These courses are aimed at improving employability of the learners as well as offering a sound base in engineering disciplines with the view to enabling students to forge successful carrier paths in the fields or proceed to higher academic levels. Although the number of seats for each program is not described separately, the total number of intake of students per course is 513 which shows that the distribution of students is optimum and equal among all the branches of engineering.

The admission of Sasurie Academy of Engineering is very open to all students who want to be engineers. Though it is not clearly spelt on how the admission process works, the majority of the engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu requires entrance examination scores. The institute probably offers admissions with an element of test performance in these, and then counseling for the students’ respective seats.
