Savitri Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya is one of the most well-known institutes in Allahabad, which is now known as Prayagraj. Uttar Pradesh-based institution is dedicated to women. The affiliated college was established in 2015. It has succeeded in marking its presence in the arena of this region in a very short period. Its B.Ed course is mainly based on teacher education. The NCTE approved. With a total strength of 906 students being offered admission and a faculty strength of 1, the college offers focused educational training to aspiring educators.

Savitri Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya has well-developed facilities that are designed in accordance with enabling the students to acquire the best possible education. As of now, Savitri Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya offers only one basic course, B.Ed. The two-year full-time B.Ed course has an approved strength of 100 students. The B.Ed programme is designed aiming to make students competent and eligible in their teaching career, equipped with various pedagogical skills, and providing the required knowledge. Although the college is focusing on a single degree programme, that shows commitment towards quality education in the field of teacher training.

The admission process in this institution takes place strictly on merit basis, following the guidelines from the state government and the affiliated university. Admissions are done on the basis of marks gained in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. The college, depending upon the directives of the Uttar Pradesh Government and the university, may also follow other modes of selections.
