Savitri Mahila Degree College, Faizabad, was established in the year of 2010 as an affiliated college within the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. This women's institution stretches over a compact 1.25 acres with diversified educational opportunities provided to students. It is duly approved by the National Council of Teacher Education, New Delhi. As of now, 393 students enrollled, and the faculty strength is 20 in number, comprising dedicated individuals. The five courses that Savitri Mahala Degree College has to offer, in different disciplines, meet the young women's educational aspirations in the area. 

The college has many facilities to support the learning processes of students. The library acts as a knowledge centre by providing materials needed for the pursuit of an academic curriculum. Departmental laboratories provide hands-on training so that students can implement theoretical knowledge in practical fields. The Institution offers five full-time courses—two professional and three traditional degree programs. The academic portfolio of Savitri Mahila Degree College includes five courses, namely B.Ed with an intake of 100 and D.El.Ed with the same intake, and three undergraduate programs: BA, B.Com, and B.Sc in Home Science. This wide variety of courses enables the students to choose streams of interest and to suit their career choices.

The mode of admission at Savitri Mahila Degree College varies for various courses. Admission to the B.Ed course is merit-based, derived with marks obtained in the qualifying and/or entrance examination. The selection process is based on the policies prescribed by the state government and the affiliated university. In the same way, admission to the D.El.Ed course is based on merit, drawn from the qualifying examination and/or any entrance examination, based on the policies prescribed by the state government or the UT administration.
