Savitribai Phule Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Washim, was established in the year 1990 and is exclusively for women in Washim, Maharashtra. This affiliated college, established on 4 acre land, is aimed to give quality education for female students. The institute is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which proves that the institution conforms to the high educational quality. The total number of students in the college is 145 and the number of faculty is 10, so it is a small institution for learning. 

Savitribai Phule Mahila Mahavidyalaya has an assortment of amenities aimed at improving on the general learning process of the students. Central to its academic resources is a well-stocked library for students and faculty to read and borrow textbooks and periodicals as well as to access existing internet journals. For anybody interested in physical body building, the college has a well equipped modern gymnasium, measuring all essential facilities for free to the students. In addition, it pays attention to various sports facilities for students to promote their healthy activities. To face the challenges of the new age, the college has set up a computer lab having 20 computers for students to donate vital IT gear and internet usage for research purposes and skill improvement. 

The modern college of Savitribai Phule Mahila Mahavidyalaya includes one full time course, BA course. This undergraduate programme, taking the duration of three years, aims at completing the education in humanities and social sciences field.
