SBDS College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fatehabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

SBDS College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fatehabad was established in the year 2018 as a special institute for Veterinary and Animal Sciences education. The affiliated college at Aharwan, Tehsil Ratia, Fatehabad district of Haryana is spread over an area of 11 acres. Presently, the institute offers two diploma courses in veterinary science with the enrolment of 56 students. The student-faculty ratio is 1:5, hence making SBDS College pay attention to each learner. The college encourages a co-educative environment that fosters diversity and inclusion in the imparted veterinary education.

The infrastructure of the SBDS College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences is well-developed and provides a number of facilities to its students for better learning experiences. The institute has a rich library with 8,552 books. Out of these, 943 are reference books and 15 are encyclopedia sets. Besides, the institute also subscribes to 17 monthly and annual journals and 8 online journals. The library is fully computerised and is connected to the campus network to provide Internet access for students. Fully equipped, modern laboratories at the college level also include a Psychology Resource Centre equipped with psycho-physical equipment for psychological experimentation. The campus also has an ICT Resource Centre equipped with the latest computer configuration and broadband internet to enhance digital learning.  

SBDS College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences offers two full-time diploma courses: Diploma in Veterinary and Livestock Development and Diploma in Veterinary Laboratory Technology. Both of these courses are two-year span programs and have the sole aim of making the candidates conceptually and practically viable for the respective fields.  

The admission procedure of SBDS College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences is essentially based on merit. During the course of Diploma in Veterinary Laboratory Technology, the admission is granted through online counselling on the basis of merit prepared from the Diploma Entrance Test conducted by LUVAS. This would ensure that only the most meritorious and eager get selected for the course.
