SBK Government PG College is located in the heart of Rajasthan and was established in 1970 in the decade of Jaisalmer. This affiliated college constructed in a vast area of 70 acres was providing educational facilities for more than five decades to the region. This college is NAAC accredited that provides a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college currently boasts of a student population of 4,155, whereas the faculty member stands at 12; therefore, the college provides a proper educating atmosphere. The institution has a total of 8 courses in 6 degrees to accommodate students with diversified academic focus in arts, commerce and sciences.

While in SBK Government PG College there are many facilities which have been put in place to help improve the overall learning process. Its library contains, it is estimated, about 35000 volumes and is a valued aid to both students and professors. The campus facilities consist of well equipped laboratories, a large auditorium for seminars and other occasions, canteen etc. For the sport-loving students, there is sport facilities in the college while for athletes who like working out, there is a college gym. The college also helps outstation students to find separate hostels for boys and girls to make their stay comfortable. The College offers in total 8 courses out of which one is a postgraduate course and seven are undergraduate courses. Undergraduate includes full time courses as BA, B.Com, B.Sc Maths, B.Sc Bio Group and post graduate as MA Pol Science & History, M.Sc Botany, M.Com Business Admin.
