Established in 2016, SBS College of Pharmacy in Barnala has focused on the issue of developing pharmacy professionals of Punjab, India. Established in Mehal Kalan, Barnala on Raikot Highway-13, the college is an affiliated college that functions under PCI and AICTE acknowledgment. SBS College of Pharmacy is located on a very small area of 2 acres; it is still in the growing phase of development with an intake capacity of 117 students and 8 faculties. The college has only one main course, which is the Diploma in Pharmacy [D.Pharma] for which intake has been approved to be sixty students per annum.

Its mission statement thus involves offering quality education and practical training in SBS College of Pharmacy. It has several important amenities to enhance the learning and physical, social as well as psychological, development of students. As one of the significant components of the educational system, the library contains 1,201 volumes of books in total, 166 of which are the only one copy in the library’s collection; the library is subscribed 6 domestic and foreign journals . Currently the college has functional laboratory equipped with complex equipment required for pharmaceutical studies such as tablet disintegrant test apparatus, tablet making machines, ampoule filling and sealing machines and friability testers among others.
