SCAD College of Education, Tirunelveli came in to existence in the year 2006 and is one of the leading educational institution in Cheranmahadevi, Tamil Nadu specialising in teacher training. This co-educational institute offering courses under the affiliation to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University holds the recognition of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). SCAD College of Education occupies a 5-acre land, and it provides an environment that could facilitate leaning for students who intend to join the teaching fraternity. With an overall enrolled strength of 123 students and only 15 faculties, the college has the student-teacher ratio that is so important to provide attention towards each student.

SCAD College of Education itself provides many of the accoutrements of modernity to help facilitate the academic endeavour.
