SCAD College of Engineering and Technology (SCADCET) which started in 2001 and is located in the Cheranmahadevi of the Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu is affiliated college. This is an AICTE approved Institution, situated over a Campus of 150 Acres, offering Engineering & Management Programmes. It is a private college with the student enrollment of 1,144 and faculty of 124 and offer 9 courses at 3 degree levels. In terms of gender distribution, male students constitute 75% of undergraduate students while female students are 25% In postgraduate level slight favor female students with 54%.

SCAD College of Engineering and Technology provides nearly every commodity a student might need for his/her improvement in academic pursuits. Hostel facilities for boys and girls are available in the campus and the facility has electricity backup, has RO water plants. A spacious and rich library occupies an area of more than 5 thousand square meters and contains over 12 thousands of books and other reader’s interests including the access to Internet. For the sports lovers, SCADCET boasts of football, hockey, basket ball, badminton, cricket grounds besides a swimming pool. It also has well-equipped laboratory, a basketball court, volleyball court and health center with an aid facility. Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian food is available through a cafeteria facility and Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus facilitates the requirements of academic work.

SCADCET currently has an aggregate of 10 courses, 5 for the undergraduate programmes and only 4 for the postgraduate programmes. The undergraduate Programmes include BE degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & communication engineering, Electrical & electronics engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. At post graduate level the college offer ME specialisation in Applied Electronics, Computer Science & Engineering, Power Electronics & Drives and MBA. The total of all the students who are enrolled in different courses is 504 while the intakes in each of the different courses are as follows : The BE in Computer Science and Engineering has 180 intakes.

The admission procedure at SCADCET is mostly competitive with the college admitting students through scores scored in relevant entrance tests. For undergraduate engineering programmes, the process of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling is while the admission is done based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination that is 10+2 and the cutoff ranks. Candidates seeking admission into postgraduate programmes may be required to write TANCET or other entrance examination results, and or counseling. The college also provides scholarships where 178 undergraduate and 18 postgraduate had reimburses in the academical year 2022.
