SCAD Polytechnic College, the Technical institution was established in the year of 1997 which is located at Tirunelveli Tamil Nadu. This AICTE approved affiliated college here offers a wide variety of diploma courses in different disciplines of engineering. SCAD Polytechnic College is situated at a 5.29 acres of land; the total intake and the strength of the students are 1,111 and the number of faculties are 82 experienced and well educated. This college offers six full time diploma courses in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and telecommunication, computer, automobile and civil engineering. Being a technical institute with focus on providing practical education training hence making it a hub for the engineering students in the region.

SCAD Polytechnic College has provided for all the necessary amenities to support the needs of its students in a learning institution. The campus has, therefore, Hostel facilities for both boys and girls’ out-station students, that can comfortably accommodate them. The college library, esteemed as the temple of knowledge, contains more than 32,000 book copies, different printed manuals and references, and the electronic models. Students are privileged to get hand on more than 200 National & International journals & magazines, digital library & online catalogue. For those who have affinity towards sports the college offers them opportunities with qualified physical education staff and participation in inter college sports meet.

These six diploma courses are full time diploma programmes offered at SCAD Polytechnic College. The college has an approved total student intake of 450 across its courses, whether diploma or degree. To me, the diploma programmes extend to all the engineering fields, meaning the students get to sample a buffet of courses depending on the degrees they wish to pursue.
