School of Electronics, Devi Ahilya University, Indore is a constituent college, set up in 1989 inMadhya Pradesh. Located on a 44 acres, this co-educational centre focuses on the electronics and related disciplines. The school is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and provides a wide spectrum of programmes to different levels. It has a small faculty of 6 members hence giving its students a personalised training ground to prepare for their future. The School of Electronics teaches 8 courses under 4 degree programmes including undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in specialised areas of electronics, computer science, and geoinformatics.
School of Electronics has many facilities to support learning to improve the experience of the students. The departmental library, is a basic asset of academics, has more than 10,000 books and has subscribed around 10 International and National journals including IEEExplore and ACM etc. The centre also offers services to students through University Central Library. The IT resources include several laboratories dealing with different courses offered at the university. ES 300 VLSI and Embedded System Laboratory, GIS Spatial Information Technology Laboratory, Mobile Computing Technology Lab, Communication Engineering Laboratory offer practical exposure to the students. For residence, the institute provided the accommodation facilities of boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel. For the co-curricular activities, there are available playground for sporting activities and an auditorium. The campus is connected to Wi-Fi to allow learning activities as recommended by instruction.
School of Electronics encompasses 3 M.Tech, 2 M.Sc, 2 B.Sc, and a PG Diploma course. The institute is largely hooked on to full time, regular courses and offers intensive teachings in specialised areas of electronics and Electronics Related Technologies. The total approval to intake for the courses with the data is 158 students while the individual course capacity varies as follows 18 to 40 students. This moderate intake entails that teachers are able to accord everyone individual attention and quality education. The courses are M.Sc in Electronics and Communication, Electronics, M.Tech in Geo Informatics, Embedded Systems, Mobile Computing Technology, and so on.
