The School of Law is one of the constituent college of the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai which was started in the year of 2018. This co-educational institution is established in Jeppiaar Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Chennai, and recognized under Bar Council of India (BCI). It has four full time law programmes with a total proposed intake of four hundred and eighty throughout all the courses. The school has 17 members on the faculty making it an intimate environment for those pursuing a career in law. About Moot Court The Moot Court facility offers students actual exposure to legal pleading capability and court proceedings. The campus contains a number of auditorium/conference hall with with all requisite teaching aids for guest lectures, symposiums, and seminars etc. In response to the needs of the students, the institute provides a separate hostel for the male and female students as well to provide safety. Academicians also refer to the campus as ‘Safe Heaven’ especially to the females, all their academics and day needs are within their ease.
The programmes offered by the School of Law comprise of total four law course and all are; full time programmes. These are BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), B.Com LLB (Hons), and LLB which are recognised by B.C.U. These programmes have been approved for intakes of one hundred and twenty students each; therefore, the overall places for all courses are four hundred and eighty. The BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons); and B.Com LLB (Hons) are integrated programmes that spans five year while the LLB spans only three years. These are programmes intended for students to attain fundamental knowledge in law, along with relevant cross-disciplinary learning in arts, business administration or commerce based on the chosen course.
