School of Management Studies was founded in 2008. Being situated in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women is a public university that delivers quality in management courses. The college is AICTE approved which means that the practice follows standards approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. One of the distinctive features of the school is a concentrated number of courses provided with only one major course emphasising the school’s orientation on management education. 

To facilitate students’ academic and personal development, the School of Management Studies has necessary infrastructure. The library can be regarded as the academic unit of management as it offers students necessary literature and materials on the subject. Accommodated laboratories help simulate meaningful working scenarios as the students can apply the knowledge gained in the classroom. It also has modern Information Technology facilities so that learners can be informed of current technological developments in the field of management. For those with a bias towards sports, there is an array of sports facilities and this shows the balanced nature of education provided. 

Academically, the School of Management Studies aims at providing quality postgraduate education as its fields of specialisation. The school operates a full time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme that takes 2 years to complete. This programme has a specified intake of 60 students, which means that the admission to this programme is competitive. MBA course embraced a view of offering the students a broad view of different facets of management to allow them factor in the management of businesses at the corporate level. 

The admission process in to the School of Management Studies is mainly governed by the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET). This is an important state level examination for anyone wishing to pursue a course in management in the Andhra Pradesh region.
