School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, was established in the year 1972. It is in Hamdard Nagar Delhi and it has become a reputed institute and a centre of excellence in pharmaceutical education. The school provides 15 courses at four levels of degrees in pharmacy and professional interest areas. The management, with a faculty strength of 43 members, achieves its commitment to providing quality and comprehensive education and researching to the students. The procedure for admission to the School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research is different for different programmes. Admission Process Degree-wise
B. Pharma: There are 120 seats available for this program at the School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research. Candidates are admitted purely based on their eligibility in the 10+2 qualifying examination. The total fee for the complete program is around Rs 480,000.
D.Pharma: This Diploma in Pharmacy program has 60 seats available to students. The admission procedure is based on the score of the candidate in the qualifying examination. The total fee for this two-year program is Rs 160,000.
M.Pharma: The school has 9 different specializations under which M.Pharma courses are offered and has an intake of 77 students. Some of the fields under which a student can select a specialization include Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Assurance, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacy Practice. The admissions depend mainly on GPAT scores. However, if not enough GPAT-qualified candidates are available, the admissions may be offered on the basis of B.Pharm percentage. The total fee for M.Pharma programs is nearly Rs 370,000.
Ph.D: The disciplines under which the school offers Ph.D. programs include Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutics, Quality Assurance, Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Pharmaceutical Medicine.
