DAVV's School of Pharmacy, Indore was recognised in 2001, since then it has emerged as one of the most prestigious constituent colleges situated in Madhya Pradesh, India. This co-educational institution is situated on 2.5 acre of land and provides different programmes in the field of pharmacy at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. It is a PCI approved institution which shows the setting of benchmark for the courses in pharmaceutical sciences. With a total number of 298 students in the institute and 12 faculty members of the institute, the institute has a satisfactory number of students per faculty members. There are 4 courses affiliated to 4 degrees that the school provides, which covers a range of field in the education of pharmacy.
The School of Pharmacy, DAVV, Indore has received several justified facilities that can allow the students to achieve their goals effectively. Among the equipped laboratory premises, there are 17 concentrating specialised laboratories equipped with the main sets of analytical instruments including UV spectrophotometers, infrared spectrometers, and high profile HPLC systems. The library of the institute is equipped with A.C, and contains books concerning to medicine and pharmacy, e-journals and e-books made available through internet facility. Accommodation for students is provided by hostels for both male and female students; they are self-contained. The campus also encompasses a gym, sports, a hall for events, and ICT equipped class with modern technology to teach the students.
It provides various pharmacy courses such as D.Pharma, B.Pharma, M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Ph.D. in Pharmacy. Of these, three are full time programmes which are offered to various levels of pharmaceutical education. The admission process is different for every programme for which School of Pharmacy DAVV Indore offers admission. For the admission to the B.Pharma programme, admissions are afforded to the candidate according to the merit of the Group A2 common entrance test conducted by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. This computer based examination heeds the selection of the candidates for the first semester. For M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, the institute follows two paths: The candidates qualified in GPAT are permitted depending of the GPAT score/rank directly in the M.Pharm programme, while candidates who have not appeared in GPAT have to qualify a Common Entrance Test (Group F3) conducted by DAVV. The Ph.D. programme also probably has recommended admission procedures, though more information was not given as well.
