School of Pharmacy, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University, Indore, is one of the constituent colleges was set up in the year 2006. This co-education college is situated in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and is dedicated mainly to pharmaceutical sciences. This assures quality education in the field and the school enjoys approval from the pharmacy council of India (PCI). As a pharmacy institute of the state, it delivers a variety of pharmacy programmes in B.Pharma, M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics, M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance etc. for the students who want to make a career in the field of pharmacy at both the UG and PG levels. In exercising the school’s commitment to pharmacy education, it becomes a centre of decisiveness and influence as regards the future of pharmacy professionals in India.
The School of Pharmacy provides numerous amenities that will be incorporated to augment educational process. The college creates a centrally located library which stocks essential pharmaceutical literature and resources accessible to students. Modern equipments are available in various sectors of pharmacy, and sophisticated equipped laboratories give the students practical exposure in all sectors. It is complete with an auditorium for academics to hold meetings, conventions and seminars among other intelligence events. A cafeteria provides eating facilities to students and employees, a health centre with first aid services helps to maintain the health of people on the territory of the studied facilities. It also has a gym and sports since the institute believes in the health of the human body. Also, the stduent has a strong information technology support of the campus to foster its digital learning and research. For the visitors, the college has guest house and waiting room amenities hence visitors such as faculty from other institution or family members of the students are well accommodated.
As a founder of the career of pharmacists, the School of Pharmacy provides all its learners with diverse courses for pharmacy. The institute currently provides four full-time programmes, B.Pharm, M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics, M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, and D.Pharm. The B.Pharma programme which is a four year graduate course has an intake capacity of 06 admissions. Both M.Pharma programmes are two-year postgraduate courses that admit 9 students each programme. The recently introduced D.Pharma programme also has 60 seats available for the candidates. The school offers 138 places throughout the range of programmes for students passionate about various spheres of pharmaceutical sciences.
At the School of Pharmacy, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University, the major basis of admission especially to the B.Pharma is through the raw scores. All aspiring student are assessed on merit whereby they are expected to perform well in courses related to the offered programmes. Pharmacy council of India has approved the institute hence confirming that the programmes offered are of high standards of education offered in the country.
