SCSPA College of Agriculture Ashti ,established in 2004 is an affiliated college and located at Murshadpur Maharashtra. It is affiliated with Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) and aims of providing education in agricultural streams to the students. SCSPA College of Agriculture claims to have an overall student capacity of 421 students with 15 faculty members. Geographically the college has only one programme B. SCSPA College of Agriculture, Ashti, focuses primarily on agricultural education, offering a single full-time course: B.Sc Agriculture Hons. This set up is a four year program with a duly prescribed maximum capacity intake of one hundred and twenty students, which is the college’s way of ensuring quality education in the field of agriculture. The course aims at equipping the students with comprehensive knowledge as well as pragmatic skills in different sub- branches of agricultural science to enable them work in agricultural sector or enhance their studies in specific branches of agriculture.
Admission process of the SCSPA College of Agriculture, Ashti is in consonance with the other agricultural colleges of Maharashtra state. Subsequently from the academic year 2018-19 undergraduate admissions has been done through State Common Entrance Test known as MHT-CET for admission to agriculture and related fields. But scores from national level examinations like JEE Main, NEET, AIEEA-UG conducted by Indian council of agricultural research New Delhi are also taken into consideration. The multi-exam acceptance policy makes it easier for prospective students to find the right routes to make their way into the B.Sc Agriculture Hons program.
