SD College of Engineering and Technology, Muzaffarnagar, was established in the year 1997 as an affiliated college of Uttar Pradesh, India. The institute is approved by AICTE; the courses offered are diverse in engineering and management. Currently, the institution has 104 faculty members, and a total of 13 courses along with 4 degree programs are taught in the institution. Specializations in specializations such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering. The courses available and the state-of-the-art facilities subscribe to the institute's commitment toward technical education.

SD College of Engineering and Technology has subscribed to many facilities that will enhance the learning experience and all-round development of students. Separate boys' and girls' hostels are available inside the campus, along with single, twin, and three-sharing beds according to choice at nominal costs. There is a fully equipped gym inside the campus for catering to physical fitness by the students. It shall act as a knowledge hub that shall support each student's requirement of academic learning. The sports facilities are provided to support athletic activities in the students and IT infrastructure is also present to make the best facility in terms of technology available for the students. Moreover, there is also adequate space for the cafeteria so as to provide proper food served clean and hygienic with affordable rates. The students have always been connected owing to WiFi connectivity. The college has laboratories well-equipped to intensify practical learning in all the departments. Other facilities provided by the college include an active alumni network and parking facility for students and staff.

SD College of Engineering and Technology conducts 13 courses, viz, full-time B. Tech, M. Tech, MBA, and Diploma on a regular basis. The B. Tech Programs are offered in all disciplines of Engineering. The M. Tech program is conducted in the stream of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The college has also offered facilities for an MBA program and some diploma courses in engineering fields.

The admission processes used here in SD College of Engineering and Technology are entrance-based. There is no any mere class 12th percentage for the B.Tech admissions, and it is calculated via JEE Mains or CUET UG. A GATE or entrance test through which the university itself assesses can enrol them in M.Tech. Diploma courses make use of JEECUP for the admission process. An MBA course is also entrance-based. It accepts most of the national and state levels of entrance tests, including JEE Main, GATE, CUET UG, and JEECUP. This actually gives a lot of opportunities to the aspiring students seeking admission.
