SD College of Science, Atrauli: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The institution is known as SD College of Science, Atrauli, which started its education in 2019, is a new college situated in the Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh area. This college is a co-educational college and is affiliated, providing Courses of Focus in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Despite its recent establishment, the college has quickly developed a focused curriculum with two primary degree programs: D.Pharma and B.Pharma. Housed with only 14 members in the faculty, the college is dedicated in offering quality education in the area of pharmacy.

It has numerous facilities that help to improve the studying process and the outcome of the college for its students. In these amenities there is always a central library that will act as a knowledge center for all students. This institution takes pride in having departmental laboratory for each department and these laboratories are immensely important for the pharmacy students as it offers practical sessions. Among these are a pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory, a pharmacognosy laboratory, and a machine room. In order to survive, the college stands well-equipped with a fine, dedicated state of the art computerized laboratory charge to equip the students with the latest trends in the IT sectors as well as the most modern technological requirements in the field of the pharmaceuticals. The college also takes issue of health and safety of students very seriously with the college housing a health center complete with first aid equipment.

SD College of Science, Atrauli currently offers two programs that are full time in the field of pharmacy. The D.Pharma (Diploma in Pharmacy) is a two years program, while the B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy) is for four years. According to the program, both the programs have an approved intake of 60 students which signifies that the College has intense focus on managing small class sizes that enhances teaching and learning. This strategic focusing of its resource base enables the institution to provide quality education to the area of pharmaceutical sciences.

The admission at the SD College of Science, Atrauli is done according to the policies that have been set down. For the D.Pharma program there are admission as per rule regulation provided by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (BTE). The candidates interested in enrolling their selves to the university have to sit for the Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) and admissions are offered on merit of the JEECUP. The B.Pharma course admissions are based on the norms prescribed by the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). Eligibility for entry into this program depends on the marks scored in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). They provide standardized admission process that help the college to enroll students with the right background and qualifications in pharmaceutical studies. SD College of Science at Atrauli may not be that old in the field of pharmacy education but it is doing fairly well in developing it. Practical oriented education system of the college, modern infrastructure and following of standard norms of admission makes it as an emerging college for the pharma education in Uttar Pradesh. In its future evolution, the college should expand its mission and contribute to the formation of the pharmaceutical field’s professionals in the region.
