Shaheed Udham Singh Engineering College (SUSEC), was started in 2008, is one of the most popular Institution located at Tangori, Mohali, Punjab. This affiliated college, which is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) also undertakes several engineering and science courses. SUSEC is spread in an area of 5.36 acres with a total student strength of 369 and the faculty strength of 42 teachers. A large concentration of courses is offered by the college: four B.Tech programmes and B.Sc Medical Lab Science, to meet the expectations of students with different scholarly profiles.

Shaheed Udham Singh Engineering College boasts of its well equipped institutions with facilities that enable it realise the best potentials of its students. The campus is wireless and students are free to access the internet from any where within the campus. The college library has a stock of more than 35,000 books and includes reading materials on engineering and management know how, general knowledge, verbal and written communication. To cater for such students SUSEC has provided modern hostels equipped with wireless internet for boys as well as girls. Some of the features include gym, common room and study room, which make the rooms comfortable enough for hostels. Transport facilities are also available in the college with the transport facility having many buses plying between the cities such as Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula,Ropar, Patiala and Ambala etc.

The five courses offered in the institute are all full time course offerings of the institute. These are 5 B.Tech courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, and B.Sc Medical Lab Sciences. The total sanctioned intake capacity for the B.Tech programmes is 135 students of which Civil Engineering branch alone offers 60. Unfortunately, to produce the result for the latest year, we do not have the number of graduates of the college; however, the total enrolment and the intake of the college are similar, and therefore the college has a high retention rate.

Admission process in Shaheed Udham Singh Engineering College is relatively composed of the simplest procedures and requirements. Since the availability of detailed format of examinations is not mentioned, it can be assumed that college takes into consideration course performance in related fields when admitting student into different programmes in the college. The B.Tech programmes takes four years to complete while the B.Sc Medical Lab Sciences takes three years to complete. SUSEC is a quality institution that aims at producing competent professional who are equipped and ready to take on the market. The Training and Placement Cell of the college always strive to get placement opportunities for the students ,which is done by a trained team of coordinators having years of experience in placement co-ordinating.
