Established in the year 2003, Shahjehan College of Engineering and Technology Chevella is one of the premier Engineering Colleges in India. This affiliated college is situated in Nayalate Village, Ramanaguda Road, Chevelle, Telangana; this college offers various engineering courses. A total of 0.5 acres with specially designed compact campus of SCET and it was known for its team of 25 faculties. In terms of the undergraduate programmes, the institute offers six B.Tech programmes in different specialisations of engineering that aims at achieving the vision and satisfying the demands of students who want to pursue technical education in particular region.

SCET aims at offering students with appropriate environment within which they are availed state of art facilities. The college has a fully equipped library in the college which prove to be a store house of information for both students and teachers. To compensate for the fast advancement in technologies, SCET has acquired sound IT facilities with equipment for use by the students. An important facility is an auditorium where actual various events and, for example, seminars take place, which adds to the atmosphere of the campus. In regards to lab facilities, the college owns standard laboratories to suit every department’s operational requirements. The institute has a broad engineering package, and all the degree programmes are full-time, four-year B. Tech programmes. SCET's academic portfolio includes six distinct specialisations. Electronics and communication engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, computer science and engineering, aeronautical engineering, civil engineering, as well as mechanical engineering. Thus the admission procedure of Shahjehan College of Engineering and Technology is mainly centralised through TS EAMCET, the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test. This common test is conducted by the Government of Telangana through which only students have a chance to get admitted in the College for engineering courses.
