Shakambhari Institute of Higher Education and Technology, Roorkee (SIHET), is a leading institute in the field of higher education and technology, established in 2006. This affiliated college, based in Puhana, Saliyar, Roorkee, Uttarakhand, from the time of inception over a decade ago, has been nourishing the future of aspiring technicians and pharmacists with great zeal. Built over a sprawling 5.1-acre campus, SIHET is approved by AICTE and PCI to ensure quality education as per industry standards. Presently, the Institute has a total enrolment of 172 students with a faculty strength of 32, offering 4 diploma courses in various engineering disciplines and pharmacy.

The facilities available in SIHET are one of the finest, aiming to enrich the learning of students. The institute has separate facilities for boys and girls; the environment inside the hostels is very friendly and suitable for proper study. The institute library is a knowledge hub with a large number of books, periodicals, journals, and digital material. SIHET has both indoor and outdoor facilities for various sports, from badminton to cricket and a gym fully equipped with good equipment. The Institute offers four full-time diploma courses in the different fields of engineering and pharmacy. Under the aforesaid heading, the courses include Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Production Engineering, and D.Pharma. The approved intake of students in each of these programs is 60, bringing the total student intake to 240 for all courses. These different Diploma courses in Engineering run for three years, while D. Pharma takes two years to complete. All programs at the college focus on giving a strong theoretical and practical knowledge base to students in their respective fields of study.
