Shaping output of teachers since 2015, Shamshul Haque Memorial Teacher Training College (SHMTTC) is a co-educational institution situated in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. This affiliated college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and teaches only teacher education courses. The college occupies a small area of only 0.73 acres, which makes it possible to provide its students with an academic experience most suited for their choice of profession. The college has a student population of 199 students and is headed by a team of 19 committed faculty members.

It has boasted a variety of facilities which are aimed at improving the student’s experience and development within the college. In terms of physical health, SHMTTC provides sporting amenities and promoting the balanced education. This way the college maintains the IT connectivity that keeps the students in touch modern means of education. An auditorium is a multipurpose hall where many activities such as event and seminars are held, in order to promote extracurricular activities. Practical learning is handled in special laboratories so there is a cafeteria for snacks and students interaction. They also have a college health centre with first aid amenities with concern on students’ health. Also, to show hospitality, there is a guest house or waiting room for the use of visitant faculty and students’ family members.

Despite being a private college, academic life at SHMTTC revolves primarily around the institution’s B.Ed which is a two-year full course. This college has been authorised to admit 100 students for this programme and is working to educate a large number of intending teachers per year.

Exactly like the other schools in the state, Shamshul Haque Memorial Teacher Training College follows the Jharkhand Government’s entrance exam pattern.
