Shaping output of teachers since 2015, Shamshul Haque Memorial Teacher Training College (SHMTTC) is a co-educational institution situated in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. This affiliated college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and teaches only teacher education courses. The college occupies a small area of only 0.73 acres, which makes it possible to provide its students with an academic experience most suited for their choice of profession. The college has a student population of 199 students and is headed by a team of 19 committed faculty members. The major product service that SHMTTC provides is a programme in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in accordance with the growth of educators.

Exactly like the other schools in the state, Shamshul Haque Memorial Teacher Training College follows the Jharkhand Government’s entrance exam pattern. The common period for the entrance exam for the admission in B.Ed is in the early June, the latest being June 6- 9. It is mandatory for the students who wish to be enroled to clear the minimum eligibility marks in this entrance exam. After the examination, the merit list is prepared based on the counselling process of the candidates who are available for the exam. Another recommendable effort that SHMTTC undertakes to assist those wanting to pursue their studies is the conduct of mock examination to prepare the candidates for the real examination.
