Shankarrao Jawale Patil Mahavidyalaya, Lohara, setup in 2002 is affiliated college situated in Osmanabad, Maharashtra. This institution has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to show more concern on quality education. The college has 1,987 enrolment and 16 faculty members to instruct the various programs of undergraduate study. The school enrolment comprises of 304 males and 234 female students thus the school has a balanced gender ratio. The college provides three full-time degree programs: three years’ degree programmes including BA, B.Com, and B.Sc for which their admission capacity is one hundred and twenty. 

These include; Campuses; The college has made available several facilities which will improve student’s experience. A good facility enables students to engage themselves in outdoor activities among them being volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho and athletic. The college cafeteria has a seating capacity of 25 with provision for students’ multiple usages inclusive of serving staff, students, and visitors. Due to the advancement in technology across the globe, the whole campus has been wired with Wi-Fi to enable students use the internet in their study. The college also avails adequate parking space for students, staff, and any visitor that may decide to grace the institution with his or her presence at any one given time. 

Currently the Shankarrao Jawale Patil Mahavidyalaya is providing a total number of three personal manipulation courses out of them all three programmes are full time. The programs offered include the BA, B.Com and B.Sc each of which will take three years of completion and will be accredited to take 120 students per course. This raises the overall available seat in all the programs to 360. As is depicted in the table above, the college offers only UG programmes with all students enrolled in these programmes 100% ONLY. According to the statistic of the year 2022, the population of the student liters in total is 538 that is quite satisfactory in terms of occupancy. 

Shankarrao Jawale Patil Mahavidyalaya admission process is quite flexible for all the students fulfilling the required criteria. Although the college does not set specific dates for admission, any interested student is encouraged to read from the college website or contact the admission’s office for the latest information concerning the admission dates. Admission requirements for the college do not indicate any particular examinations students need to sit for in order to gain admission into this college implying that the college operates an international ladder system of admission whereby students are admitted on the basis of their performance in the exams they sat for at their previous institutions. With regard to money, there is a scholarship policy in the college. From the records, 61.2 percent of the students got some form of reimbursement or financial assistance based on a survey among the 538 undergraduate students in 2022. Holding it in high regard, this shows that a large number of students receive some form of financial assistance from the college, signifying that the college is dedicated to eradicate financial hindrance to student’s education. Shankarrao Jawale Patil Mahavidyalaya, Lohara, is an emerging light of higher education in Osmanabad district focusing to deliver Under Graduate programmes in the Faculties of Arts, Commerce & Science. This makes the college relevant in offering education to students owing to its student-centered infrastructure, equal opportunities for male and female students, and a good scholarship program.
