Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Technology was started in the year 2009. This affiliated college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education and offers various programs in the field of engineering. The campus is spread over 40 acres, with a student enrolment of 785 and a faculty strength of 108. SVBIT offers courses in 13 types across 3 degrees—BE, ME, and Diploma programs, thus enabling the students to pursue different specializations in Technology and Engineering.

The infrastructure includes the following facilities:—. The individual boys' and girls' hostels are well equipped with comfortable living conditions, Wi-Fi connectivity, facilities for TV, computers, and indoor games. A 100-bed hospital facility serves the needs of students and public outsiders; this truly reflects the commitment of SVBIT towards the health concerns of students. It also has a well-equipped gymnasium, which motivates students to maintain their physical fitness. The library is one of the strong pillars of academic resources and is automated with LIMS. It currently has more than 35,000 books and 50 national and international journals. There is a facility for an e-library to access from remote areas, which helps in enhancing the learning process of the student.

SVBIT offers a comprehensive range of engineering programs to cater to diverse interests of students and the varied demands of industries. The institute offers 6 undergraduate BE programs, 4 ME postgraduate programs, and 3 Diploma courses that are all aimed at updating the knowledge and skills of students. The BE programs are available in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. At the postgraduate level, the institute offers ME in Mechanical Production Engineering, Communication System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Software Engineering. Diploma courses include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. In total, 13 different courses in various specializations have made sure that SVBIT provides adequate opportunities for the students to pursue fields of their choice.
