Shantaram Potdukhe College of Law, Chandrapur was established in the year 1974 by the Sarvodaya Shikshan Mandal, Chandrapur Society. The college is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Bar Council of India (BCI). SPCL is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Shantaram Potdukhe College of Law is affiliated with Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. SPCL Chandrapur courses include LLB, BA LLB, LLM and PGD. Shantaram Potdukhe College courses are offered in branches of Cyber Law, Labour Law, Taxation Law, and Consumer Law. Shantaram Potdukhe College admissions for LLB and BA LLB programmes are done based on the scores obtained by candidates in the MHTCET Law examination conducted by the DTE, Maharashtra. SPCL Chandrapur admissions for LLM and PGD courses are based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination. SPCL Chandrapur facilities include a library with a collection of books, separate hostels for boys and girls, an auditorium, a moot court, wifi, a cafeteria, a gym, sports and many more. As per the NIRF 2023 report, 75 UG (3-year programme) students were placed during the Shantaram Potdukhe College of Law placement drive with a median salary package offered was Rs 60,000. 20 UG (5-year programme) students were placed with SPCL Chandrapur median salary package of Rs 65,000.
