Shanti Shiksha Niketan Mahila Mahavidyalaya is a women's higher education-oriented college. The foundation stone of the college was laid in 2012. An affiliated college, the institute has been imparting education to students for over a decade now. The college is situated right in the heart of Varanasi at Sindhora Bazar and has a compact campus of 1.35 acres. With an enrolment of 416 students and a faculty strength of 10, the institute supports an intimate learning environment.

The college currently offers only one-degree program, which it derives from its aim for focused education. An effort is made by the college properly to enrich the learning process by providing students with many facilities. The library is the centre of knowledge for the betterment of academic pursuits in the collegiate fraternity. For practical implementation, the college operates departmental laboratories where students can experiment practically on all the theoretical concepts. 

Given that technology is slowly assimilated into education nowadays, the institution has a well-equipped excellent IT infrastructure. In an attempt to offer a whole approach to development, the institution provides sports facilities for exercise and recreation purposes. The college has aptly provided guest rooms and waiting rooms for visiting faculty members and for the family members of the students so that all visitors would not have an unpleasant experience.

Shanti Shiksha Niketan Mahila Mahavidyalaya is currently offering only one full-time course, the three-year undergraduate course - BA programme. It was approved with an intake capacity of 420 seats as a testament to the potential capacity of the college to accept a high number of students hoping for tertiary education. Providing holistic liberal arts training through learning opportunities that may empower a student with education-endorsing skills for critical thinking, cultural awareness, and an eclectic knowledge base applicable to numerous career paths is the intended purpose of the BA program.
