Sharada College of Education, Mahabubnagar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Sharada College of Education is located in Seshadrinagar, Mahabubnagar, Andhra Pradesh and was started in the year 2003. The college is mainly offering teacher training courses. This affiliated college has drawn a reputation for preparing the next generation of teachers and educators. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the institute offers two full-time courses, Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) and Masters of Education (M.Ed.) In aggregate enrolment, Sharada College of Education takes fifty students in each of the programmes, with the vision to produce competent and passionate teachers for the future generation.

The colleges’ teaching facilities have been developed designed to improve the prospects of the academic performance of the students. A good reading centre acts as a resource centre while department laboratories working for different fields sucha s Psychology, Science, Computers and Educational Technology, Languages, and Mathematics. The campus has facilities such as an auditorium for special occasions and seminars makes the environment rich academically. For eateries and meeting fellow learners, the students are welcome to have a cafeteria provided whereby student health is catered for by the college own health centre and first aid amenities. Sharada College of Education has provided for sporting facilities such as a cricket stadium, a football ground, badminton, and a table tennis hall. Sport facility also includes a gymnasium for people interested in exercising.

Sharada College of Education has two broad teacher training programmes. There are gradual intakes of 100 students for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme and 50 students for the Master of Education (M.Ed). Both are full-time courses taking two years to offer a broad and intensive grounding for prospective teachers. Considering that the college has heavily invested in these two core programmes, it has been possible to give close attention to the education of teachers to allow them to effectively discharge their duties in the future.

The criteria of admission to various programmes at Sharada College of Education include the marks secured in qualification examination and/or entrance test. In general, the admission policy is framed in consonance with the rule and regulation of the state government, Union Territory administration as well as the affiliated university. This means that there is equal and standard opportunities for selection for any aspiring students. 

Sharada College of Education provides hostel facilities for boys and girls from out of town were they can study without much interruption. The college also provides guest facilities for the visiting faculty members and students’ relatives as it is always oriented to hospitality within the college and additional care for students. Though the college is comparatively smaller in scope and specialised in teacher education, the college does offer good teach and learning facilities for the students who want to take up teaching profession in Mahab The college has continued with a strong pledge of offering quality education in effectively framed teaching environment, thus producing capable teachers for the profession in the area of education.
