Shashwat Suryavanshi Mahavidyalaya situated at Atigawan, Jakhania, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh is a college which is running from the year 2012. This is a relatively young college and has been increasing it efforts in delivering quality learning to the students in the region. Boasting of an overall enrolment of 426 students, the institute currently delivers three unique courses leading to a degree. The college promotes a favorable student/teacher ratio, and the college currently employs 16 competent and committed faculty members. , Shashwat Suryavanshi Mahavidyalaya is functioning under the bar of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which clearly shows its conformance to standard education especially in the field of teacher education.

The college has instituted several installations and equipments meant at supporting the learning of the college’s student. As a knowledge center, the library is the students’ major source of academic materials during their study. For those interested in practical oriented courses the college provides adequately stocked laboratories. They are equipped with necessary chemicals, apparatus and other materials whereby student can have practical tutorials related to their specialization areas. Technology is also considered in the modern college’s education, so computer training is available through the Department of Computer Science. Students are free to access internet facilities made available in learning institutions so as to connect to the ever expansive world wide web. 

Surprisingly, Shashwat Suryavanshi Mahavidyalaya brings three full time courses for student to pursue their dreams in the field of academics. The institute offers a four-year BA program with 420 seats, B.Ed program for one academic year with 100 seats and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) another one year programme with 100 seats. This has made the student intake hit 620 in all the offered programs. These courses are intended to prepare students for their areas of specialization within liberal arts or noble profession, namely teaching. 

The admission procedure followed by the Shashwat Suryavanshi Mahavidyalaya differs with the particular course offer. The admission procedure of I & I/II Semester for the BA program includes Common Entrance Test conducted by the University or merit list made by the State Government. The same scenario applies to the B.Ed program which is offered on meritorious basis for admissions. This could therefore be based on number of marks scored in the qualifying examination, an entrance examination or as spelt out by policy as per the state government or university. The D.El.Ed program also follows the Common Entrance Test or merit based admission by the University or stated Government.
