Shatakshi College of Education, is a co-educational institution and was founded in 2013 in Chitwana Shairpur, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. This affiliated college is also recognised from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to provide quality education in teaching field. Located in a campus of 2.47 acres, the college provides a number of undergraduate programmes. Shatakshi College of Education has 600 students enrolled and 6 members of the faculty which produce an excellent learning environment. The college is equipped with state of art facilities which are designed to improve the college experience. 

A library is a repository of knowledge mostly containing prescribed texts, journals and other important materials. Sports lovers will find the college equipped with sporting amenities and a gym if they are interested in the physical workout sessions. Shatakshi College of Education also includes an auditorium for conducting conferences and seminars, laboratory for practical’s, health centre including first aid. Students on their free time will be able to enjoy some time at the cafeteria while the guest house will be used by visiting faculty and family members. Modern education is very much enhanced in the college’s very efficient Information Technology facilities and equipment.

Shatakshi College of Education currently has four full time programmes in order to accommodate the interest of all faculties. These education qualification include Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). B.A course has the highest admission capacity with 280 number of seats while the number of seats available for B.Com is 120, B.Sc is 120 and D.El.Ed is 100. This nature of courses enable the students to select an area of specialisation in line with their desired economic activities. 

The admission process of Shatakshi College of Education differs from one programme to another programme. Regarding the admission procedure of the D.El.Ed Programme most of the institutions follow the merit list based on the marks of the qualifying examination as well as entrance examination. The college also adopts any method of selection as provided by the policy of the state government, U.T. Administration, or the University. For the other undergraduate degrees offered no specific procedure is described but it may expected that they would use merit based admission procedures as well.
