Shaym Narayan Urmila Girls Teacher Training College was established in the year 2010 at Rudauli, District-Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. The college is an affiliated college of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University. This girls' college is dedicated exclusively to teacher education and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The College has a very high student/teacher ratio, with 49 students and only 6 teachers, thus making it possible for every student who wishes to become an educationist to have personalized attention. 

The college is well-resourced for the wants of the students in terms of the academic and personal development that they need. The well-furnished library serves and functions as the pool of knowledge that avails basic resources to trainee teachers. The campus also offers proper sports facilities, allowing students to benefit from physical fitness and team-building activities as part of the education process. A well-designed IT infrastructure that has been established to make students familiar with the modern education technologies in the colleges. All of these departments are provided with their own laboratories so that students can have appropriate practical knowledge on subjects. Shaym Narayan Urmila Girls Teacher Training College offers a full-time two-year B.Ed. course. The main objective of the course is to develop prospective teachers with knowledge, skills, and practice that would make a teacher effective. Since the college devotes all its attention to one specialized course, an approach to teacher training is more concentrated and intensive. The college is permitted to have 100 seats for the B.Ed program, and the college's vision is to be the college of choice when it comes to training the next generation to be educators. 

The admission process at Shaym Narayan Urmila Girls Teacher Training College is made on a merit-basis, considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and /or entrance examination. Admission is made following the guidelines of the State Government of Uttar Pradesh and the University to which the college is affiliated.
