Shillong Polytechnic, which was started in 1965, is one of the most popular technical college situated at Mawlai Kynton Massar, Shillong, Meghalaya. This affiliated college approved by All India Council for Technical Education has been producing technical talent for over fifty plus years. Located in a huge campus of sixteen point one acre of area, Shillong Polytechnic has all the favorable condition that is required for a prosperous academic world. It has a total population of 501 students and 27 members of faculties; and the Institute is in a good student-faculty ratio.
Shillong Polytechnic has several facilities which seek to improve on the existing convenience of the students [The institute has many facilities that aim at improving on convenience the student is accorded]. The modern library contains approximately of 1700 books reflecting various branches of engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry and economics all necessary for students within their studies. Shillong Polytechnic has modern and well-equipped laboratories, workshops for practical sessions and are indeed the important aspects of technical education at Shillong Polytechnic. The college also offers accommodation services for both male and female, to host students from different parts of the country and beyond. Health is also taken care of whereby during working days there is a full time pharmacist to attend to the students while severe cases areTransferred to neighboring hospitals. The institute thus gives comprehensive development a shot by making provision for sports amenities and other co-curricular activities.
Shillong Polytechnic provides a total of 6 courses and all courses are diploma full time courses. These comprises of five 3 year diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. Besides, the institute also has a Post Diploma in Information Technology for a duration of 2 years.

College Infrastructure
This college has all the necessary infrastructures, facilities and the equipments for the students and the staffs studying and working in the college. It provides diverse and quality education in the field junior engineering. Campus is so clean and the atmosphere of the campus is good.

yes you can get admission in shillong polytectic college with out JEE MAIN. in the shillong polytechnic college they will give admissions under the basis of MSCTE exam. For appearing to that you only need to pass the 10th standard in the recognized institution.
