Shiv Kumari Saheb Mahavidyalay, Mau was established in 2012 and affiliated college situated in Kyamapur, Muhammadabad Gohana, Mau, Uttar Pradesh. This institute has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education Self self-financed and the institute provides two academic courses in the field of education. It is located in a 3.136 acre area and offers admission to a total of 694 students and has a teaching staff of 16 faculties. Being a co-ed school, students of either gender are offered equal chance to participate in any activities. The college is especially dedicated to teacher education and currently has full-time courses in B.Ed and D.El.Ed for the fresher teachers of the area. 

This is true since the institute has various facilities available to foster students learning and development. An adequately stocked library is organised as an information centre where books, titles, national and international journals and magazines related to management and allied fields are available. Reading and research can be comfortably done in any of the libraries because of the relatively quiet environment. Shiv Kumari Saheb Mahavidyalay also possesses a large computer lab with modern tools such as a number of internet-accessible computers, printers, UPS etc for 60 students in a hall. Regarding physical exercises and recreation, there are facilities for sports which all the students can use. The college retains departmental practical facilities for training purposes in its possession. Furthermore, the visiting faculty guest house or waiting room is also available for students’ families, as well. The Shiv Kumari Saheb Mahavidyalay, Mau offers two regular ‘Teacher Training’ courses in the field of education. There are 100 sanctioned intakes for the B.Ed programme and the D.El.Ed programme is also offered though the intake capacity is not disclosed. The programmes are 2-year programmes and prepare students as potential educators in their respective areas of specialisation. For that, the college has aACY of offering teacher education which in turn prepares qualified personnel in the field of education. 

The admission procedure at Shiv Kumari Saheb Mahavidyalay, Mau is completely based on marks obtained through entrance examination and/or previous examination. The selection is done according to the policies set by the Uttar Pradesh government, as well as the university to which the school is connected. For its B.Ed programme, one has to sit for selection tests in accordance with the academic performance of the candidate and as per the policy of the university. Likewise, the admission in D.El.Ed is also merit-based on the qualifying examination and any entrance test mandatory by the state government.
