Shiv Shakti College of Advanced Study in Education, Sirmour, affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, came into existence in 2006 at Rajgarh, Himachal Pradesh. The institute is affiliated to the NCTE and the course offered include the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. The college occupies a just 0.459 acres of space and has a total of 199 students and 13 faculty members. It is aware that as a co-educational institution it admits both male and female students into its student community.

The college has many specialized amenities that would contribute to improving the learning and teaching process in the college. It has over 5000 education & general books and newspapers, magazines and Journals to update them on the current happenings. Since the school’s physical activities, there are facilities for volleyball, badminton, kho-kho, and cricket through a playground located within the school compound. Technology plays a great role in the college, and this is evidenced by their computer, which is fitted with 20 computers which are supplied with free internet whereby it enables students to develop comport computer skills.

The course offerings of Shiv Shakti College of Advanced Study in Education include only the Bachelors of Education (B. Ed). This is a two-year, full time course which has had an approved intake capacity of one hundred seats. The B.Ed programme is aimed at producing teachers and educators in physical and social sciences, and enhances students’ skills and knowledge necessary for effective teaching practice. Due to the fact that this is a college, this encourages the NCAA to concentrate on the specialized program more than teacher education.

The admission to the B.Ed program offered at Shiv Shakti College is possible through admission standards set and implemented by HPU and college administration respectively. For management seats the admission criterion is under the jurisdiction of the college following the norms laid down by HPU.
