Shivalik Institute of Education, Saharanpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Shivalik Institute of Education, Saharanpur was established in the year 2004. It is an affiliated college that is affiliated to Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University located at Vidyagram, Redi Mustahkam, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This co-educational institute is spread over 5.08 acres of campus and is approved by National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE. The institute offers three undergraduate programmes to 231 students, and it has faculty of 36 members. 

A wide range of facilities the institute offers have been undertaken to enhance the learning experience of students. A well-stocked library houses 4,051 books and 1,335 titles besides subscribing to 8 reputed educational journals. The building houses a separate reading room with carrels for 50 students and offers the most conducive environment that supports study and research. Departmental laboratories, the college also has to facilitate practical learning in the respective fields. For female students, it provides a girls' hostel with comfortable accommodation.

Altogether, Shivalik Institute of Education offers three full-time undergraduate courses. The intake in BA programmes is 140, the highest offered. B.Sc intake comes next with 120 seats, and the B.Ed, a two-year course intake, has 100 seats. All these programmes are comprehensive courses that will equip students adequately for further academic or professional courses.

In regard to its admission process, this too is different for each course in Shivalik Institute of Education. Admissions are strictly done on merit for the B.Ed programme, and marks obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance examination are taken into account. Any other selection process is viewed as per the policy of the Uttar Pradesh State Government and the affiliated university.
