Established in the year 2003, Shivlok Mahila Mahavidyalaya is an affiliated college located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This women's institution is devoted to providing quality education in the teaching field. It offers two full-time courses: Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education; it is approved by NCTE. It has a compact campus of 1.28 acres, with a total student enrolment of 200 and a faculty strength of 8. 

The college has a good number of facilities, which helps in enhancing the learning experiences of students. A well-stocked library functions as the knowledge hub, providing materials that are necessary for the budding teachers. The college maintains sports facilities and a gym, which inculcate the essence of a balanced approach toward education for physical well-being. Shivlok Mahila Mahavidyalaya offers two main courses, both of which are meant for preparing students for a career in education. Both the Bachelor of Education, B.Ed, and Diploma in Elementary Education, D.El.Ed, are full-time coureses and are of two years duration each. This concentration thus enables the institution to keep a specialized learning environment that is focused on teacher education. 

The admission process at Shivlok Mahila Mahavidyalaya is merit-based, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The admission process for the B.Ed course is in accordance with the policies of the State Government, UT Administration, and the affiliated University. Similarly, the D.El.Ed admits are in compliance with the state government or UT administration's policy.
