Shivnagar vidya prasarak mandal’s institute of technology and engineering, malegaon (SVPM ITE) is een of the renowned technical institute for higher learning established in the year 1983. This affiliated college is situated at Baramati, Malegaon, in Pune district of Maharashtra and has been nurturing talented young engineers for nearly 39 years. SVPM ITE is also recognized from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which shows its devotion to quality. Presently, there are 129 engineering disciplines, 289 diploma programs in the institute with registered students’ strength 1289 and well-motivated 54 faculties.

SVPM ITE offers its students the oppurtunity to learn in a set up equiped with up to date facilities. The institute’s library is a source of great importance acting as knowledge resource centre and consisting of various reference books, handbooks and national and international journals. A computerized bar code system and Auto lib NG Library Management software will facilitate book transaction. For occasions, the college has a 36000 sq.ft. capacity auditorium consisting of a main hall measuring 1650 sitting capacity capacity and an air-conditioned conference hall of 150 people sitting capacity. In addition, it has two DVD players and facilities suitable for guest speakers, a cultural show, or any technical seminar. 

The institute has seven full-time diploma courses, which, take three years to complete. They include Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, IT, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Civil and Automobile Engineering. The above courses have an approved student intake of 360 students with computer engineering information technology electronics and Telecommunication engineering mechanical engineering course being the most popular with 60 students each. Due to this, the student can be able to select a field of interest that befits their choice in their intended careers. 

Further, SVPM ITE has the vision of ensuring the learner gets a package education. There are two distinct hostels for boys and girls each with an accommodation of 750 students. These hostel offer basic facilities like bed, writing table, chair, fan, tube light with table lamp connection facilities etc. It also has equipped gymnasium for boys as well as for girls with games facilities to support both physical learning as well as class learning. Students and sports lovers get the full opportunity of playground area for intercollege, zonal, state level participation under the supervision of a sports PT instructor. To meet the needs of students and staff, it has been equipped with parking space and on campus banking services with ATM. At this stage, college cafeteria is seen as a place where students can spend their break- time between classes.
