Shree HVP Mandal's Degree of Physical Education, Amravati: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Shree HVP Mandal's Degree of Physical Education, Amravati, was established in the year 1967 at Hanuman Vyayam Nagar, Amravati, Maharashtra. This institution is spread across 27.9 acres of land and is a well-known institution with good standards in physical education and sports sciences. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, the institute provides courses under 13 different degrees, totaling 16 courses. The college has a student enrolment of 2,886 and faculty strength of 122, providing a good academic environment. The Institute has created its own individual identification based on a holistic approach towards Physical Education, Undergraduate and Post Graduate Programs. 

It also flourishes with a host of facilities that facilitate holistic development geared towards student development. The wide campus owns nine Boys hostels with 710 students' capacity and three girls hostels with a wing for 255 students, all with modern facilities. It hosts a well-stocked library with 30,967 books, 1,463 back volumes, and other digital resources that ensure students are adequately furnished with enough resources. There are two well-equipped gymnasia, one for boys and one for girls; a health center with modern, up-to-date equipment; an Olympic-size swimming pool; and well-equipped sports facilities. Other facilities for the all-round development of students include a dispensary, computer center, and research laboratories. 

Shri HVP Mandal's Degree of Physical Education includes a total of 16 courses, comprising full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The academic portfolio of the institute covers a huge area of subjects, starting from the conventional physical education courses of B.P.Ed, B.P.E.S, and M.P.Ed to the most modern programs like BCA, MCA, and B.Voc in Health Care. The institution admits a huge number of students into the college, including B.P.Ed. with an intake of 350; B.P.E.S and BPE offer 250 seats each. This huge variety of course structure makes provisions for different career aspirations within the physical education arena or related fields.

The procedure of entrance varies with the course at Shree HVP Mandal's Degree of Physical Education. For B.P.E.S., the admission procedure is followed by a Physical/Motor Fitness Test on the track and field of the college, followed by a personal interview and certificate verification. Admission to B.P.Ed. and M.P.Ed. will be based on state government and university policies as regards the merit, taking the marks gained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination.
