Shri Mahila Arts and Home Science College, Kodinar, was founded in the year 1993 as a women's educational institute in Gir Somnath District of Gujarat. This affiliated college is spread over a 2.4-acre campus with the motive of providing quality education to female students. The college provides an ambience for focused learning to a total of 814 enroled students with the help of 7 faculty members. 

The institution has varied facilities that help in enhancing students' experiences and supporting them in their academic pursuits.  The library is the learning hub, providing books to conduct research and study. The college also takes care of student welfare and provides a health center with first-aid facilities. In a bid to pace with the digital, or e-age, the institution provides excellent IT infrastructure.

Shri Mahila Arts and Home Science College, Kodinar, aims to provide full-time undergraduate education. At present, the college offers only one core course: the BA program. This degree course is a full-time, three-year course, which will impart a general education to students in arts subjects. The BA Program is designed to empower the students with critical thinking, cultural awareness, and broad understanding of humanities and social sciences to face careers or other studies.
