Shree Satya Sai B.Ed College Muktsar is an affiliated college, established in the year 2005 in Village Karaiwala of Sri Muktsar Sahib District of Punjab. It is recognised by National Council for Teacher Education in India and the Institute offers two professional courses in education. This college is located in a five acre land and has the total admission capacity for 300 students and faculty of 21. For physical development, HPE Resource Centre provides indoor and outdoor sport tools like TT, Carom, Chess, Crickets, Batons, Bads, Athletics etc. The IT infrastructure consists of 22 up to date computers with windows 10, one Gigabyte RAM and 500 gigabyte hard discs to ensure students get to work with state of the art technology. Shree Satya Sai B.Ed. College provides two full time courses in the arena of teacher’s education. The B.Ed programme has 100 intake capacity and the D.El.Ed programme has taken 50 intake capacity. Both of the courses take two years to complete and offer lots of preparation for future teachers. By focusing on these two specialised programmes the college is able to direct more of its effort toward producing quality educators. Since there are 150 total places for these two courses, the institute serves a large number of students who want to become teachers.
Shree Satya Sai B.Ed. College follows a merit policy to admit students; marks obtained in the qualifying or entrance examination. Several policies being set by State Government, U.T. Administration, and affiliated University, admissions to the B.Ed. programme takes places as per these policies. The same applies to admission policies of the D.El.Ed. programme in conformity with the State Government policy, Central Government policy, University or U.T. Administration policy. This serves two purposes of weeding off the weaker and less qualified candidates and also making sure that every candidate goes through the same process. However, as much as specific information concerning scholarships is concerned, the college has various funding facilities to support deserving students. The focus of the institute is very apparent from this aspect of its operation, as the institute provides focused education to train teachers to face and enjoy the various challenges involved in the profession of teaching.
