College infrastructure is average. Labs are sort of outdated but comparatively better than other alternatives. Classes are also equipped with smart boards and sometimes they might not work. Library is the a well furnished and ideal place to study - I hear they are also getting tablets installed in Library by next year. There's also a small canteen that serves well cooked food (vegetarian only). Hostels are also available (boys only).
Faculties are normal, their only priority is getting you through Gujarat Technological University's external examinations that occur twice each year. They also conduct various seminars for you to explore your interests almost twice a month. Other than GTU though, I suggest you to enrol in any coding class you see fit to learn actual stuff because here they lag behind.
Many students manage getting into premier institutes for MS on their own but institute curriculum has little to do with that. This is not uncommon for GTU and in no way is it a direct result of institute's course of actions. However they do try getting as many corporates as possible in placement drive even with not-so attractive packages. This year also off campus many students got offers ranging from 3 to 6LPA and people from previous batches that got placed four years ago are earning well now.
It is cheap, they do not tell you to waste your money on mandatory useless trips or projects.
It is better during Navratri and cultural events. There are tech fests and other aptitude competitions almost all around the year.
Yes, our college has every facilities including college bus, library, labs . But they should work on the canteen thing. Except from that everything is good and i was lucky to have great teachers, staff and all the classmates.
I'm studying computer engineering because its my passion. And i just love all the subjects in my field like data structures, programming languages and all. Yup , I think my curriculum in some manner is updated but there are still some updation needed.
As I'm yearin final and my placement should have done by now but due to this pandemic I'm not able to get the job from the college placement. Average salary offered is I'm not sure about but still i can say that 2 lacs per annum.
My course fees per annum are 61000/-
I'm agree that our college has the garden area, the volleyball net but still i just regret about small campus area.
The college has improved its infrastructure and facilities which is good. However lack of sanitation an issue. Library facilities are quite good enough with some good informative books and novels. Labs are air conditioned and most classes and labs have projector. Hostel facility is moderately okay.Food served in cafeteria is plentiful but not really nutritious.
Facilities are good , but few faculties are less experienced so its like students are on their own with incomplete syllabus (well it was my batch's experience till now ). So faculties are putting their efforts so that students can get good marks but they are not providing proper practical knowledge to enhance skills required to get job.
Placement here is quite okay but not so good . Companies come to this place and it has good placement cell but probably because of poor study environment and less experienced faculties students who mostly relying of college syllabus have less practical knowledge where authorities should focus on.
Compare to other colleges , SSIT fees structure is affordable , they organize some informative programs and seminars . So if you're a hard core learner who prefer self teaching more, well then this college is good for you.
Discipline is properly maintained and overall campus environment is good. Teachers are supportive . And location is better with some places nearby to handle madical emergency.
It would be better to carry your laptops at all the time (no internet either). Library is a better and quieter place to study. They do have projectors to teach and try making the best use of their auditorium, almost every other week there are people from industry or coaching to guide you.
GTU would be top priority so if you are interested in higher education, you have to help yourself out. Other than that, most people are pretty nice and easy especially Computer HODs and Professor Neeraj Thakor, nobody really disturbs you if you finish up assignments on time and maintain a good CG in externals. Now and then there are qualms but they are everywhere. I would say this a better, inexpensive option if you wish to prepare for competitive exams.
This year's placement drive poster had packages ranging from 1pla to 3, however you can make use of four years and have better opportunities off campus. Previous years placements were similar, although I could not find stats from official site.
If you fall in annual income group of 15 LPA or above, you cannot apply for EWS despite having sufficient marks, so that would cost you nearly 62k a year. However I have batch-mates with barely 60 percent marks who get benefited from EWS so better check before applying.
