Shri Anar Devi Khandelwal Mahila Polytechnic, Mathura was established in 1984. This is one of the women's technical institutions located in India in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The affiliation of the college is granted by the All India Council for Technical Education. It offers various diploma courses only for women. The campus area is 0.68 acres with a total intake of 125 students and 10 faculty members. 

Shri Anar Devi Khandelwal Mahila Polytechnic also offers four specialised diploma courses in electronics engineering, library science, and office management, which it has tailored to meet women's needs and provide them with a wide range of technical education. The polytechnic has several facilities to support students in their learning process. There is a well-stocked library with 3,328 volumes and a book bank of 453 books, supplemented by books for SC/ST candidates. The well-equipped computer center with more than 40 computers, essential software, campus-wide internet, and Wi-Fi is evidence of the institution's commitment towards technological advancement. In addition, there are department-based laboratories that would ensure hands-on practical experience for the students in respective fields. There is a canteen, sports facilities, and a health centre with first aid provisions that add to the campus for making it an educational hub. 

Shri Anar Devi Khandelwal Mahila Polytechnic runs four full-time diploma courses, so designed and structured as to cater to the needs of different technical sectors. The total approved intake of the institute comes to the extent of 210 in all programmes combined. These include Diploma in Library and Information Science, Diploma in Electronics Engineering Self-Finance, Diploma in Electronics Engineering with Modern Consumer Electronics, and Diploma in Modern Office Management and Secretarial Practice. All types of programmes will aim to equip the students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills so that they can become successful in their chosen career field

Admission to Shri Anar Devi Khandelwal Mahila Polytechnic is done through the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) which is commonly known as JEECUP. This is a state-level entrance examination taken by the Joint Entrance Exam Council, UP, in April every year and forms the main entrance to the aspiring students.
