Shri Balaji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rohtak was established in 2007 as an affiliated college in Sampla, Haryana. The area of the campus is 5 acres, and it is a co-educational institute offering diploma courses in Engineering. The sanctioned enrolment of students in all programmes together is 133, and the faculty strength is 35. The college offers five diploma courses, all under one roof of a degree programme, in the fields of engineering: Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Computer, and Civil Engineering.

The institute has a wide variety of facilities to support student life and academics. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available on the campus so as to provide comfortable accommodation for students coming from different parts of the country. It has on-campus facilities for any kind of indoor and outdoor sports activities regarding games like badminton, cricket, and football. Shri Balaji Institute of Engineering and Technology has five full-time diploma courses, all of which are based on Engineering disciplines. These programmes are available in three-year streams under Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Civil Engineering. These practice-based degree courses go on to reflect the institute's undertaking and commitment toward technical education by preparing students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge in their respective fields of study.        

The admission procedure in Shri Balaji Institute of Engineering and Technology is easy and based on merit. The admissions are generally made in July, after the Diploma Entrance Test, which is conducted by State Board of Technical Education Haryana in May every year. Such a uniform entrance test at the entrance level provides a fair opportunity for getting admission to the aspiring students. The institute's academic session starts after the admissions and the new session commences after the completion of admission process.  It should be noted that the application and admission procedures are based on a uniform system for all offered diploma programmes.
