Shri BBM Mahila Mahavidyalaya, located in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, India, was established in the year 2004 is an affiliated college. This women’s institution occupies 9.1 acres of land and aims at offering quality education to female students. Sanctioned by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), this college has a flexible number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Currently, the college is serving 379 students and has 14 faculty members, which underscores a reasonable student/faculty ratio that is practical for quality education delivery. The institution teaches 6 courses under 5 degree programmes with a focus on arts, science, and integrated teacher education.
The college has a variety of learning amenities that were established to improve the learning environment as well as the development of students. There are ultramodern laboratory facilities for conducting physics, chemistry, and biology practical on campus. The institution also gives emphasis in the area of exercise and games and holds an annual sports competition that involves games such as cricket, volley ball, basket ball badminton, table tennis, and carom. They are conducted within and outside the campus where there is a spirit of healthy competition as well as teaming.
This institute teaches a total of 6 courses, out of which all the offered courses are on a full-time basis. Such as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) under graduate integrated B.ED. programmes and Master of Arts (MA) in Geography and Political Science, etc. The two major programmes that are being run by the college are integrated BA B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed., each having an approved strength of one hundred students. These programmes are meant to produce professional educators who complete their courses within four years while at the same time offering arts/science education in parallel. The college also has a provision for conventional three-year BA/B.Sc courses and two-year MA courses that combine different academic tastes and career goals.
