One of the oldest institutions in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, Shri Bhagwan Das Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya right from its establishment in 1965. The college is located at Shankar Ashram Chowk in Jwalapur and is placed in a peaceful environment thus making it an ideal location for learning. Providing personal care to students are 9 full-time faculty in this institution. The courses available in this college are 6, at 2 degree levels, provide specialized expertise in several subjects connected with Sanskrit literature, its philosophy and its modern applications.

This university offers courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in the full-time course mode. The three-year undergraduate programme called BA Shastri at undergraduate level sets a strong base of Sanskrit literature and traditional Indian knowledge systems. At the postgraduate level, courses become yet more specialized in the form of two-year MA Acharya in Sahitya or Literature, Vedant or Philosophy, Navya Vyakarana or Modern Grammar, Computer applications in Sanskrit, and Yoga.
